Story of Annie's
Annie’s Soup Kitchen has been a fixture in Albuquerque’s Northeast Heights for over 50 years. In 1973, the original owner took her portfolio of simple, country recipes and began a small soup and sandwich bar, which she named after her daughter, Annie.
In 2007, the current owners, Martin and Marie, took over and began to renew the operation. Over the years, Annie’s Soup Kitchen has been expanded to accommodate approximately 120 customers, with additional space available for larger groups. In November 2024, co-owner Martin Elsner passed away at the age of 68.
Annie's wants to thank its supporters and community members for a wonderful 52 years. As of October 12, 2025, we are no longer open for business.
